On 16th and 17th of April 2011, the English Karate Federation National Championships were held in Sheffield. The EKF championships are open to all forms of karate taught in England however Ishinryu bagged a staggering 22 medals with every member of the English squad picking up a medal. But most importantly, Jersey's very own chief instructor Paul McNamee was awarded a well earned bronze in the veteran's kata. Paul was very pleased with his award but was quick to point out that he will be winning the gold next year!
